We are already half way through our first quarter and are making great progress in our learning, spiritual growth, and socialization. It is exciting to watch the growth of our students and the achievements that they are attaining so far this school year.
As a school we have been preparing for some very special guests. On Thursday, September 29th we will be honoring all grandparents and “special” friends with their very own St. Mary School Grandparents Day! The festivities will begin at 1 pm. With classroom visitations and a special craft. We will all attend an XALT Prayer Service praying for our grandparents. The event will conclude with a performance by each grade level in honor of our special guests. Grandchildren will be permitted to leave school with their grandparents if the permission slips are signed and on file with us and head to King Cone. King Cone will donate 20% of sales that afternoon to our school for our STEM program. We look forward to a wonderful afternoon!
Safety is very important to us here at St. Mary School. To keep our students safe during recess and lunch, we use many parent volunteers and co-curricular teachers. We have one paid position so that consistency is maintained on a daily basis. This position is paid through our magazine sale fundraiser. Please consider purchasing a magazine to support our school. The duration of the sale is very short. Our kick-off day is September 20th. The last day to place an order is October 4th. Purchases may be made online or through our students.
Thank you for your continued support!
Unbelievably, our eighth graders are already beginning to explore possibilities for their choice of high school for next year. This coming week students will have the opportunity to “shadow” at Lake Catholic High School and next week at NDCL. We pray that they have good experiences and make proper choices as to where they will continue their education in the future.
Please remember that we have an all-school Mass every Friday at 9:20 am. Each week a different class prepares and hosts the Mass. You are welcome to join us in worship each week as we pray for our many blessings and ask for God’s continued protection and guidance.
Joyfully in Christ,
