Congratulations to all of our participants and winners of last week’s Cleveland Catholic Diocese X-Treme Games Competition at Magnificat High School! St. Mary School had a good representation and placement in the events.
Congratulations to Megan Bender and Daniel Yaniglos, who placed third overall in the Arcade Games Competition. As well as to Dylan Brock and Nathan Bender for winning first place for best use of space in the Roller Coaster Category.
Thank you to Mrs. Fedak and Mrs. Pawar, our STEM Coordinators for attending all the diocesan meetings, organizing, preparing, and judging the events last Saturday. We are so grateful to you both!
Thank you to all our families and visitors who came to our annual Learning Fair. The event reflected so many aspects of learning that occur in our school on a daily basis. Congratulations to the Hoge Family! They are this year’s winners of the Free Tuition Raffle. Thank you to all who supported our young entrepreneurs in both third grade and junior high. We are teaching our students solid business practices and math skills by having them create business ventures. I think the products and marketing of them were of the highest quality!
On May 1st at 9:30 am, our first graders will lead us in our annual May Crowing Prayer Service. Please join us in church. All are welcome.
Mark your calendars and come and join us on May 1st either at 1:45 or 6:30 pm as St. Mary School Junior High presents “Peter Pan” as our annual spring musical at the Geauga Lyric Theatre. Our students have been learning every aspect of stage production – from lighting, sound and scenery to acting, dancing, and singing. You will not regret attending!
On April 25th, our librarian, Mrs. Maniscalco, held the Accelerated Reading Awards for grades 1 through 5. Students and classes had to reach their goals in A.R. points. This program instills a love for reading in our students and helps them to become lifelong readers.
Congratulations to our First Place winners – 1st and 5th grades
Second Place winners – 4th grade
Third Grade winners – 2nd grade.
We are so proud of your accomplishments!
Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our students last weekend at the PTU Live Show and Raffle Fundraiser. All of us at St. Mary School are so thankful for your generosity! Congratulations once again, to Mr. and Mrs. Fowle! They received the “Distinguished Viking of the Year Award” from the PTU this year for their dedication and volunteer hours given to our school over the years. God bless them!
