We are always so excited to host Grandparents Day at St. Mary School! Preparations have been going on for a couple of weeks now for this very special day! On Thursday morning, September 28th our school community will be honoring grandparents and “special friends” with a number of activities. Our teacher committee has implemented wonderful ideas to make this a joyous event. The day will begin at 9:30 am in the cafeteria with homemade muffins and coffee made by our school families. We have a special prayer service and short program planned in the church immediately after. After the program grandchildren will lead their guests to their classrooms for a visit and craft. We will say goodbye by 11:30 when lunch begins for our students. A memorable morning is promised for all!
It is hard to believe, but mid –quarter Interim Reports will be posted on Friday afternoon of September 29th. We are already halfway through the first quarter! This report is a good snapshot of where your child is at the present moment. There is plenty of time for improvement and maintenance for all!
This past week St. Mary School launched its annual Magazine Drive. With this drive we decided to sell World’s Finest Chocolate Bars too. Please support our school and our students by purchasing a magazine or chocolate bar or two. This is the “Principal’s Fundraiser.” The profit is used to keep our children safe during lunch and recess. Because of this endeavor we are blessed to have two wonderful people consistently monitoring our students. Our volunteers and teachers help out as well, but the two daily monitors set the tone of consistency and safety. Please help our school with your purchase! It is greatly appreciated.
We have a special request for our parishioners and visitors. If at all possible, please try not to park in the front lot from 3:30-4:00 pm. I know it may be an inconvenience, but during this short time, our busses use the lot for dismissal. If you are arriving it is a danger to our students who are boarding the busses. If you are attempting to leave, you will be stuck until the last bus leaves. To save yourself time and aggravation please use the back lot for that short amount of time. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!
