The inclement weather days have really been playing havoc with our school schedule. I truly hope that the worst weather days are behind us! We all need to get back to the business of teaching and learning!
Last Thursday I had the privilege of being invited to NDCL’s Scholarship Recognition Ceremony. Five of our eighth grade students from the Class of 2018 were recognized and awarded academic scholarship for their high achievement on the placement test scores. We are so proud of our high achieving students! Congratulations to: Isabella Cerimele, Andrew Svoboda, Faith Tomsick, Gabriel Virant, and Kyle Yates. We are so proud of your achievement and wish you the best as you make your decision for your next four years of academic studies. Any high school will be blessed to have you attend!
We are presently taking registration for our Little Scholars Academy of St. Mary School preschool program. If you or anyone you know are interested, please contact the school office as soon as possible. We are filling up quickly!
Because of the many inclement weather days, report cards for the first semester will be posted on Monday, January 22nd. The extra few days gave both teachers and students time to catch up on work and assignments.
On Thursday, January 25th our sixth grade parents will meet to learn about Sixth Grade Science Camp at Cuyahoga Valley Educational Center. Our students are very blessed to be able to participate in this curriculum rich, in the field, educational program. We are also proud of Mrs. Fedak, our sixth grade homeroom teacher, who is on the curriculum advisory board for the science center.
Catholic Schools week is just around the corner. We will begin with our opening Mass, annual pancake breakfast, and open house on Sunday, January 28th. More information will be coming soon!
Peace and Joy,
