In January, our junior high students presented their culminating Science Fair projects to area judges. A number of students qualified to compete at the next level at Walsh Jesuit High School. From there a handful qualified to compete at Akron University. Last weekend, our eighth grader, Julia Baitt, qualified to compete at the state level in
Columbus. Julia’s project falls in the category of Behavioral and Social Sciences. The title of her project was “Putting Peppermint to the Test.” Her premise tested if peppermint makes a difference in test scores. Congratulations, Julia! We are so proud of you! Thank you to Mrs. Amber Yeager, our junior high Science teacher for preparing and coaching our students. All of the projects were of an outstanding quality!
Our junior high students are also preparing to host a Medieval Faire as a culminating project of their study of medieval times. The Faire will take place on March 31st. It is always exciting to see knights, ladies of the court, and jesters mingling with our students in our school!
On Tuesday of Holy Week our fifth graders will do a special presentation of the Sorrowful Mysteries of the rosary for our student body at 2:30 pm in church. You are most welcome to join us!
On Holy Wednesday, our eighth graders will lead us in the Stations of the Cross. Mrs. Ryan, teacher emeritus, once again directed our students through this project. We are so grateful to Mrs. Ryan for her time and dedication to our students and school! Please join us on Holy Wednesday at 9:15 am in the church.
Our school will be on Easter vacation from April 2nd through April 12th. Classes will resume on April 13th.
