Our Catholicity Goal for our Five Year Improvement Plan for School Accreditation states that our students will increase their comprehension of Catholic terminology by participating in traditions of the Catholic faith. This past week our faculty and student body participated in our parish Eucharistic Devotions. We began our Monday morning with an all-school Exalt Service before the Blessed Sacrament. This service of praise through song was led by our music teacher, Miss Romano. The students and teachers lifted their hearts and voices to our God. The service was both uplifting and reverent. After the service, individual classes spent time before the Blessed Sacrament for private prayer and adoration. We would like to thank Fr. Kawalec for providing us with this opportunity by including us in this parish devotion.
Thank you to all of our Junior High Teachers, our Development Director, Mrs. Intihar, all who helped and attended with our” Aim High Junior High” event this past week! The purpose of this event is to share with our fourth and fifth grade parents what our junior high is all about! We discuss our curriculum, extra- curricular activities, our Honors English and Math programs, as well as other pertinent topics. This year we once again launched our Sixth Grade Loyalty program, which was a big success last year. We are also grateful to our young alumna who came to share how their experience at St. Mary School – through eighth grade helped prepare them for high school and beyond. Thank you also to Mrs. Ptasznik, one of our parents and Chardon High School teacher, who shared her thoughts with us. Thank you again everyone for attending!
Our sixth grade participated in the FETCH Program this week. This program teaches students about personal finances. Thank you to Mr. Laudato for presenting this valuable information to our students.
Unbelievably, it was already time to send home Interim Reports this past Friday! It seems as if we just had Parent/Teacher Conferences and now the second quarter is half over!
